When the body gets liberated from emotions
The Emotional Detox Bodywork allows layers of stagnated and frozen emotions to be solved immediately. If the protective mechanisms, even when they are decades old, soften, this can lead to a healing crisis. Events that have led to such mechanisms of protection need not always be remembered as terrible or intense, they may even be completely unknown to us.
Our experience
Nevertheless, our experience after treatment can be as significant or painful as the causative trigger, because the first stage of a healing crisis resolves deafness and returns feelings and emotions to the body. If you've been deaf for years, it can be scary when sensations come back. Getting from numbness to sensations is the first step in healing, but it can be frightening.
Emotions stored in the body cell
Imagine that all your body cells are like a box full of emotions. During an Emotional Detox Bodywork treatment, the lid of the box is opened, allowing the imprisoned emotions to become free. This release can be done during or after the treatment. In fact, after treatment, this can take at least a day to even several weeks. Mostly, however, after about 3 days you will feel less negative and livelier. The improvement depends on the number of blockages and the intensity of the process. Some clients take weeks to recover and no one knows in advance how it will be done.
Here are some examples of how different the release of emotions can be:
How you can feel after a treatment
- sad, crying for days
frustrated- angry and annoyed
- feel ashamed
- feel guilty
- be suspicious
- doubt
- feel abused
- feel dirty
- headache
- skin rash
- stomach ache
- body aches
- tremble
- fever or chills
- depressive mode
- bad dreams
- getting sick
Liberating emotions
It is very important to recognize the liberation of the emotions and not to block them. Let them come and go like the waves in the ocean. Breathe into it, move, make sounds, use whatever helps you feel it. Make sure you have a positive and supportive environment, drink plenty of water, go out into the fresh air, into nature, make yourself a hot water bottle if you have a stomachache or you are cold, eat healthy foods. Avoid nicotine, alcohol, drugs, analgesics (unless prescribed by a doctor) because they will make you numb, suppress the emotions, and put you back in the body.
The correct interpretation of symptoms
Unfortunately, medical professionals or therapists often lack sufficient knowledge about healing crises. Unfortunately, this important area of the healing process is often misunderstood or completely overlooked. In this case, a healing crisis can then be erroneously classified as a symptom of collapse, mental disorder, consequence of abuse or as an illness. When people turn to medical professionals in a healing crisis, they often get medicines to suppress the symptoms. Others feel drawn to alcohol, nicotine or drugs to numb their emotions. While all of this can reduce the intensity of the experience, the emotions are suppressed and the healing process is stopped.
Many people who experience traumatic experiences live without feeling and find comfort in their deafness. When physical or emotional symptoms show, they are looking for help, but the path to recovery can be painful and uncomfortable at the beginning.
When the body goes into the chaosphase
Some may like a healing crisis with pain, feeling under pressure, dissatisfaction and the like. Coordination difficulties live through, while others suffer from increased urinary excretion, heavy sweating, unpleasant body odor, depression, outbursts of rage, extreme grief, nausea, diarrhea, just to name a few. The body goes into chaos at this stage which can sometimes lead to fatigue, fatigue and fever. Insecurity, helplessness and lack of decision-making power are not rare.
A healing crisis is a profound experience in which the body can release embedded emotions to regain balance and balance. Donald Epstein writes in Healing Myths Healing Magic: "Once again, illness is not the fault of a stupid body, rather it is the effort to reorganize the energy system to gain a better exchange of information and energy flow, and thus a better expression of consciousness."
Receive the healing crisis with open arms
The healing crisis should therefore not be suppressed or repressed but rather be received with open arms, as the attempt of the body to find new balance and harmony back. The healing crisis creates no new problems for the body, but redeems the issues and causes that lie dormant deep below the surface. While the body strives to leave free what blocks it to return to the natural flow, we often feel like we're at it's lowest point. That will pass. And when we have gone through, we feel renewed, mostly freer, farther and nourished.
Donald Epstein writes in HealingMythsHealing Magic: "Healing happens immediately when a physical or mechanical barrier is eliminated or when we express our inner wisdom. Healing happens the moment some parts of our body start telling their stories to someone else. Healing happens the moment we release blocked energy held in different parts of the body, or when our breathing becomes freer and more natural. "
When we go for treatment through a healing crisis, we should never block it but trust in the experience and the experiences and go with the healing flow. There are no fixed rules of what symptoms we will experience or how long it will take. Emma Bragdon writes about how long it will take in her book 'The Call of Spiritual Emergency', "There is no answer, it depends on what kind of patterns of spiritual appearance people experience. If it is an intense physical experience, it will end when the body is exhausted from that intensity. Likewise, if it is very emotional, the experience will end when the body is fatigued by the catharsis. Life pulsates, expands and contracts. A cycle of contraction inevitably follows an expansion. Expansion inevitably follows contraction."
How do we deal properly with a healing crisis?
Accept how you feel during or after the treatment. How you feel is the result of letting go of stored negative emotions and trauma. If you were to hold on to it, it would do more harm to your body and affect your life. What you feel during and after the treatment is triggered by what is touched by the past and has little to do with the treatment itself. The walls you encounter are very important as they provide opportunities to overcome them in this and subsequent treatments rather than running away from them as before. Work together in a team with the practitioner and be present. It is important to come to the treatment without expectations. Be aware that you do not have to free the blockages and emotions you've had with you for a lifetime, in one session. Give the practitioner your needs and feelings without reprimanding or accusing him, work with him and let him be the trigger and accelerator of your healing process. Be good to you, be patient and enjoy the Tao Bodywork treatment.
Helpful actions to be taken after a treatment
- Go to a safe and supportive environment. Find support with family or friends and avoid negative people.
- Ask for help from positive, supportive people who understand your healing process. It is almost impossible to provide for you as usual when you go through a healing crisis.
- Keep a journal. Sometimes it helps to write down thoughts and feelings in order to better process them.
- Give yourself to the experience. Do not fight the process and do not rationalize it, go with the movements and give yourself the space and time to process everything.
- Avoid pollutants, environmental toxins and stimulants. Do not try to use food or other dependencies to suppress new feelings or sensations. Try to be as organic as possible, eat vegetarian food and drink lots of water.
- Go to nature. Take walks and enjoy the peace and the healing harmony in nature. This can help you to experience feelings when you want to withdraw and feel vulnerable.
- Take time to feed well on different levels. Meditation and relaxation exercises can be very valuable.
- Avoid falling into depression. We become depressed when the energy of the emotions can not flow. Walking, tai chi, yoga, gentle swimming can be helpful, but avoid strenuous practices.
- Above all, be friendly to you and draw your attention to everything that makes you feel positive.
- Listen to uplifting, harmonizing music. Give yourself flowers, take a relaxing bath.
